SNP inks a contract for a new Roro vessel
ALWENA SHIPPING has announced that thier client Tutehau Martin – SNP – Societe de Navigation Polynésienne has signed an order by 4th of March 2022 at Royal Bodewes Shipyard for a new 90m long Roro vessel.
When delivered by end 2024, she will take over the duties of the current old lady in French Polynesia Leeward Islands. It’s been a 3 years project, delayed due to covid, and the time has allowed fine tuning of the technical specifications with SNP Technical teams and proper tender invitations to several shipyards.
An interesting project with an important milestone now achieved, with Ludovic Gerard, Thibault Vinet , Vatea Sitjar (Alwena Shipping ) and Joep Koster . The Hawaikinui 2 should be commissioned in early 2025.
